If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our membership or event website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

4.1 Events, Directory and Membership Subscriptions or other purchases

We may process information relating to orders, membership registration and transactions related to the purchases of services, that you enter into with us and/or through the group website. This data (“transaction data”) may be processed for the purpose of supplying the requested ordered services and for keeping proper records of those transactions.

No payment is processed by the group website. Any advertised event or payment request will be requested by Bank, Post or through a third-party such as Stripe or Paypal as chosen by you.

The legal basis for this processing is the performance of a contract between you and the event organiser. Steps taken at your request, to enter into such a contract and our legitimate interests, namely that we process and administer in a proper way our website and business.

4.2 Newsletters, mailshot, group social media platforms and email communications

We may process information that you provide to us for the purpose of subscribing to our newsletters, joining a social media group such as Facebook and for other notifications. This newsletter and email data (newsletter and messaging data) may be processed for the purposes of sending you the newsletters and other notifications, and analysing their use.

The legal basis for this processing is consent and acceptance that we can reach out to you regarding Travers Search industry updates and job alerts.

5.0 Providing your personal data to others

We may disclose your personal data to other members or those managing an event insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes of obtaining confirmations, feedback, attendance or other related job seeker activities and follow-up.

5.1 Financial transactions relating to our websites and services which require the explicit need to be handled by payment services providers such as Stripe or PayPal, Eventbrite or others. We will share transaction data with the payment services providers only to the extent necessary for the purposes of you processing your payments, refunding of a Travers Executive Search or related event or resource payments, dealing with complaints and queries.

All payments paid by visitors for events outside the scope of those offered by Andrew Travers fall under the responsibility of the organisation offering the event, service and they indemnify against any loss Andrew Travers, Travers Executive Search and its agents or employees and those conducting activities on behalf of Travers Business Development and Executive Search.

6.0 International transfers of your personal data

6.1 In this Section 6, we provide information about the circumstances in which your personal data may be transferred to countries outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area (EEA).

6.2 The servers of the website host and others are in the U.K. and Europe. Some of the website plug-in, security and other Internet and software cloud services are backed-up or supported from the USA.

This includes cloud services and server providers Zoom, Microsoft, Amazon, Mailerlite, MailChimp® (email service) trademark of The Rocket Science Group and others.

Transfers to the USA will be protected by appropriate safeguards, namely the use of standard data protection clauses adopted or approved by the European Commission and applicable Swiss Data regulations where possible.

6.3 You acknowledge and accept that personal data that you submit for publication as comments, posts or through our group website or services may be available, via the Internet, around the world.

We at Travers Executive Search cannot prevent the use (or misuse) of any such personal data by others.

7.0 Retaining and deleting personal data

7.1 Our data retention policies and procedures, which are designed to help ensure that we comply with our legal obligations in relation to the retention and deletion of personal data.  Any personal data that we process for any purpose or purposes shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose or those purposes.

7.2 We will retain your personal data for the duration of your visit and application if any for a an advertised position based on your last visit or use of resources on the website. It will be deleted:

(i) usage data will be retained in accordance with current legal requirements on the website server host in accordance with their terms and conditions. Personal, comments, group or forum posts will be retained until either the conversation is deleted by the person making it, it is no-longer required as a group post or as part of a back-up of the website for a period of at least 12 months after the account is closed.

(ii) in the case of a dormant account, a registered user making a comment, all information will be deleted from the profile 24 months after the last date of activity and the request to close the account is sent.

We do not want dormant accounts or ones requiring archive, hence the sending of the request to close to the last known active email account of the member profile.

(iii) publication and transaction data will be retained for the period of publication or for any transaction for a period as stated in the third-party payment platforms who could retain it for up to 7 years (subject to government and other financial regulatory legislation) following the date of your last transaction with them.

(iv) newsletter data will be retained for so long as the relevant person remains opted-in to notifications; and notwithstanding the other provisions of this Section 7, we may retain your personal data where such retention is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject, or in order to protect your interests or the interests of another natural person.

(v) Any advertising provided on site by providers such as Google Adsense whose own terms will apply, for Google their cookie and privacy policy is here. All affiliate links are disclosed in accordance with good practice.

8.0 Your rights

8.1 Your rights under data protection law include:

  1. the right to access;
  2. the right to resolution and rectification;
  3. the right to erasure;
  4. the right to restrict processing;

You have the right to receive confirmation as to actions taken, that data was rectified or erased at your instruction.

The first copy will be provided free of charge, but any additional copies will be subject to a reasonable administration fee.
