Are you seeking your next challenge? Do you want to have more control of your day to day and escape the “big company politics?”

As an experienced Networking & Telecommunications Engineer, you have choices and we hope this opportunity will appeal to you.

Join our Managed Service Provider (MSP) client and play a key role in delivering and supporting critical IT infrastructure for their clients.

Key Responsibilities:
– Design, implement, and maintain high-performance Wi-Fi (Ruckus, Aruba, Cisco Meraki) and IP telephony (Mitel, 3CX, Gamma SIP) solutions.
– Configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure (Cisco, Ubiquiti) including VLANs, routing (OSPF/BGP), and VPNs.
– Manage virtualised environments hosting critical systems.
– Ensure network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, content filtering).
– Provide senior technical escalation support and when asked support more junior engineers.
– Travel to client sites across the UK and Ireland (occasional overnight stays, possible trips to Europe as well once full-onboarding is complete and new projects are won).

You’ll Need:
– 7 years’ minimum hands-on experience in networking & telecomms (MSP background an advantage).
– Expertise in any of the following Cisco UC, 3CX, Avaya, Mitel MiVoice, SIP trunking or MS Teams Voice solutions.
– Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to explain technical issues clearly.
– Full UK driving licence (company car or personal allowance scheme option subject to the client company car policy).
– Willingness to participate in an “out-of-hours support rota.”

Nice-to-Haves:
Any Certifications: Cisco UC, Mitel, Cisco Meraki, Aruba, Fortinet, or CompTIA Security+.
Degree/apprenticeship in Computer Science, IT, Networking, or Telecommunications.
